SUPER HEROES UNITED SPORTS ACADEMY (SHUSA)
Super Heroes United Sports Academy, was started by Mr. Ibrahim Nsereko(aka Coach Ibra) in
the early 2003. The goal was born out of his passion for football and to give purpose to the
children he loved so much in Kyebando. He was a football player himself.
The academy started in 2003 based on the slogan “Develop Your Talent.†The founding years
were solely managed, supported and coordinated by Coach Ibra. The academy was mainly
located in Kyebando, Kawempe Division and it was called Red Eagles in first two years.
By 2005, the team moved to Kamwokya at the Kataka playground, and then shortly after that to
Mulago play ground from 2008 to 2021 and currently training in kawaala at Good times P/S play
ground where it’s currently located after the outbreak of COVID 19 which took Mulago play
ground to be used by Mulago Hospital.
After many years of developing many kids, the academy decided to start a senior team to
support the youngsters who had grown up but with little chances of playing in the senior
leagues. The senior team provided opportunities for youth in Mulago, Kawempe and Kampala.
Around 2008, the team was registered in the Kawempe 5th Division, and it qualified for the 4th
Division in the same season. However, in 2010, the team was demoted back to the 5th Division.
It was later promoted back to 4th division in the 2011 season, where it played till 2018.
In the 2018/19, the team emerged winners of the Kawempe District Football Association 4th
Division League, and was sportingly promoted to the 3rd Division; the Kampala Regional League.
This was a big achievement for the club as it could now compete at a regional level in Kampala.
But eventually after the covid19 pandemic sager happened the academy could not sustain the
club in the Kampala region hence by 2021 season decided to leave the club football, back to
focus on only Academy football hence giving the opportunity of a place in Kampala region to
the other club in names of Kampala Hills which also sustained some players who were older for
the Academy. Then from 2021 up to now (currently), the Academy is only having player’s girls
and boys between age group (U8 – U17 only)
VISION
To be the best youth (boys/girls) based academy in Uganda by 2028. We will do this by
enrolling youth (boys/girls) and step by step build them into professionals.
MISSION
To be an academy that uses soccer and soccer related activities to get slum children out of
pathetic situations.
